![]() Krogoth do you think you could stick with actual character names? I don't know what Kil'Jaeden is, nor do I know what its presumed SC2 counterpart is. It's how I expected it to end since I played that In Utter Darkness mission in WoL. What you wrote is how I expect LotV to end. It's a more-than-4-year-old first campaign at this point, and HotS is going on 18 months. If we're lucky, there will be a way to include some of the upgrades/choices from Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm in that battle, too. With Kerrigan, the Swarm, and Terran armies all alive, I figure the player will take command of everything. ![]() wasn't Amon the "dark one" that kills the Protoss in Zeratul's vision? My expectation is that Legacy of the Void will end with the battle in that vision, but the protoss won't be alone. Protoss would be hopelessly outmatched against the combine might of the Zerg (cannon fodder) and Hybirds (shock troops).ĭerFunk, why don't you just throw a "" tag onto the thread title? This is a great thread to talk StarCraft II lore, and it would just be easier to make a thread warning than to use spoiler tags everywhere.Īnyway. Duran and Space Kil'jaeden would chuckle in the background as the Dominon would destroy itself in the war and they would come in to finish off with their Zerg battle thralls. Valerian would have trigger a civil war against Arcturus, because the death of Jimmy and his father was already walking on shaky ground once the revelation of his involvement with Tarsonis Incident became public knowledge. Arcturus would have killed off Tychus once he outlived his usefulness. It is not difficult to see that Arcturus would have "alter" the Faustian deal with Tychus and have Tychus kill off Raynor. The critical moment that decided the fate of the galaxy? Jimmy shot Tychus instead of Kerrigan during the conclusion of the WoL. The obvious twist is going to be that the so-called prophecy had nothing to do with Kerrigan! The wildcard that throws a wrench in Space Kil'jaeden evil plans is none other than space cowboy, Jimmy Raynor. That doesn't mean I have to like what they're doing. ![]() The background noise that was once possible to tune out has now become the whole game Without a solid guild WoW is now a dire experience highlighting all that is wrong with impatience, intolerance and selfishness between strangers. WoW has degraded horribly over time, mutating from a complex game that required involvement and coordination to another freemium-like race to the bottom to appeal to the largest possible audience of minimum-intelligence players.RoS is supposed to be better but I don't have time for it now and my D3 playing friends all threw it away in disgust after a couple of months. There was a huge amount wrong with D3 and the most obvious was that there is less content than even the original D2. I paid for D3 and it was incomplete and horribly broken.I paid for SC2 and it has now mutated into a freemium game with all of the downsides and none of the upsides. The problem these days is finding time to play the huge number of good games on the market and they've made enough of a mess of SC2 and Diablo3 that I'm no longer interested in anything they release. They are milking every franchise they have right now for higher prices and less content. If that's the case, it will make HotS my last Blizzard purchase and end my relationship with Blizzard games (going back to the original Warcraft). There are rumours (on here) that LotV will be a standalone game rather than an expansion pack.
